The Spirit of Christmas Parade in Collegedale, Tennessee, sported an eclectic assemblage of floats, from John Deere tractors to Santa Claus.
One of the highlights of the 2014 parade, however, was the Life Care Center of Collegedale float with characters from the hit Disney movie “Frozen.”
Beth Choate, occupational therapist, portrayed Anna, while Chad Higgs, former director of rehab services, donned the Olaf snowman costume. April Earwood, admissions director, dressed up as Elsa. Other associates and their families joined them with a wintery ensemble, dressed as snowflakes.
“It was so much fun seeing the reaction of the crowd,” said Earwood.
Facility associates weren’t the only ones who took part in the sparkly white float. Forrest Preston, Life Care Centers of America’s chairman and founder, and his wife, Kathleen, rode along and waved to the parade-goers.
The parade passed right by the facility, so several residents watched from the windows and enjoyed the local Christmas tradition.
